Driving Directions | From the intersection of US 276, US 64, and NC 280 east of Brevard, take US 276 north for about 5 miles to a left turn for FR 475 (paved). There will be a sign pointing to the fish hatchery. Turn left on FR 475 and go about 2 miles to the Fish Hatchery information center parking lot. Park here. |
Walking Directions | Just left of the information center, there is a gated road (FR 475C). Just across the gate is the start of the orange-blazed Cat Gap trail. Walk the Cat Gap trail for about a mile until you come to several side trails on the left. These lead to Cedar Rock creek, near the first fall, but may be hard to follow. A smaller waterfall is just upstream from this one, and is visible from the trail. |
