Walking DirectionsWalk south on the east side of NC 281 to the second guardrail (marked 202+20). A faint path (not a maintained trail) to the falls begins behind the second guardrail. The path begins with a cement drainage. After the drainage, head downhill and in the direction of the road until you reach the Thompson River near the top of White Owl Falls.
