The distinctive shape of Linville Falls and its gorge make it one of the most easily recognizable waterfalls.

Driving DirectionsTrails to Linville Falls begin at two parking areas. The preferred parking area is at the end (1.4 miles) of an access road at milepost 316.4 of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The other (gravel) parking lot is 1/2 mile on the left of a gravel access road that turns off of NC 183, north of the intersection with US 221/NC 226.
Walking DirectionsTrails lead from either parking lot to Chimney Point and Erwin's view, as well as down into the gorge, and to the top. Trails to Chimney Point and Erwin's view (from either parking lot) are both less than 1 mile.
